Eezy – Peezy Granny Square - Free Pattern:

Material Required:

 

~ 2 balls of 50 g Light-weight yarn (both of different colors; we will name them as “Color A” & “Color B”)

 ~ Crochet Hook size = 4mm (US G/6)

Special Stitches:

 

Double-Crochet Cluster:

 

Yarn over, insert the hook into the desired stitch and pull a loop, yarn over and draw through one loop, yarn over and draw through two loops. *Yarn over insert the hook into same stitch and pull a loop, yarn over and draw through one loop, yarn over and draw through two loops.* Repeat from *to* twice. Yarn over and draw through all 4 loops. This is called a Double-Crochet Cluster.

Treble Cluster:

 

(To make a cluster, we take all our stitches in one loop.)

*Yarn over the hook twice. Insert the hook into the desired stitch and pull a loop (4 loops on hook), Yarn over and draw through one loop. Yarn over and draw through 2 loops, again yarn over and draw through 2 loops,* repeat ** 3 times (you will have 4 loops on hook). Yarn over and draw through all loops.

 

Instructions:

 

Start with a magic circle with Color A.

 

Round 1: 4sc in mc.

 

Round 2: With B, ch2 (counts as 1^st strand of dc cluster), complete next 2 strands of cluster, ch3, *dc cluster in next sc, ch3*, repeat ** thrice,  join to the top of 1^st cluster by ss.

 

Round 3: With A, ss in ch3, (ch3, 1dc, 4sc, 2dc) in ch3 sp, *(2dc, 4sc, 2dc) in ch3 sp,* repeat ** 3 times, join with a ss to ch3.

 

Round 4 : With B, ss in next st, ch3 (counts as 1^st strand of tr cluster), complete next 2 strands of tr cluster in the same st, *7 dc in next 7 st, tr cluster in next st,* repeat ** 3 times, Omitting the last cluster, ss to the top of 1^st tr cluster made.

 

Round 5: With A, ch1, *3sc in tr cluster, sc in 7 dc,* repeat 4 times, join the round with a ss. Fasten off.
